Girl, 17, killed on first night shift at Montreal store
A 17-year-old female clerk was killed overnight inside a gas station convenience store in the St-Léonard area of Montreal, police said on Wednesday morning.
The girl's body was found about 6:15 a.m. after customers called police to say the store at the Shell station was locked. Usually, it's open all night.

Police discovered the body in a bathroom stall at the rear of the store. They say she died violently, but won't describe her injuries.
The victim had been working at the store for several months, but was on her first solo night shift.
Investigators are on the scene, and will be checking tape from at least four surveillance cameras on the premises.
Shell managers say the door of the store can only be opened by the employee when he or she is working alone on an overnight shift.
Police spokesperson Stéphane Eid said robbery may have been the motive for the crime.
"The cash register was on the floor when the police arrived, so maybe that was a motive of the crime," Eid said.

And the worst thing is things like that are happening everywhere. You know in my town? I think the last year(s) have been the year of the break in. Pssh. Every other day pratically you'd hear about a new break-in at one of our many convienence stores. It also hits a nerve for me... my cousin's step-mom works (or used to work, I'm not sure...) at a convienence store. And she's experienced atleast two break-ins while she was at cash, and atleast one of those times my uncle (her husband) was there in the back of the store. The second time she was prepared. She sprayed the dipshit with pepperspray, right in the eyes. Ouch! A bunch of kids saw the loser run out of the store pratically going apeshit. Serves him right.
In one of the break-in stories a guy had a machetti. (Don't know how to spell it, but it's a big knife, kind of like a butcher knife.) Most of the time with the break-ins here the weapon of choice is something like a knife or a bat. WTF? If they were smart they'd bring a gun.
Anyway I'm getting away from the point. The police figured most of the break-ins were related to drug-addictions. It's terrible how some people let their lives be controlled by something they find in the bottom of a bottle. There needs to be more programs or something to help these people. And I'm not really talking about stuff like rehab, although that is good too. Prevention is better than cure. They should have more programs in school so kids don't even start drugs in the first place, or when they get older they know the consequences that come with drugs. There is a program called D.A.R.E (Drug - Abuse - Resistance - Education) but that is, as far as I know, available to only grade 5 and up. I don't know about other places in the world though, D.A.R.E is taught it many countries and I don't know when they start teaching it somewhere else. But I'm talking about, like, grade 2... would be a good time to start teaching the program. Some kids actually are into drugs earlier than that, so I dunno.
And then there's those people who hate on other people for simply being different. Racism, prejudice, discrimination, terrorism, bullying, belittling, harassment, the list goes on. From people calling Newfoundlanders "stupid Newfies" to not letting gays marry to flying a plane into a building... why can't we all just learn to chill out??? O.o People are going to be different than other people, why can't we all accept others differences? Unless someone is doing something seriously wrong that is harming others... there's no reason to go crazy. There's no time in life to go crazy.
Anyway I'm gonna have to stop now. Got lotsa stuff to do, so later...
